IVY AUSTIN (Associate Producer/Director of Celebrations) is a native New Yorker and lifelong entertainment professional. Her performance career has taken her from Broadway to New York City Opera, to National Public Radio, and “Sesame Street.” She created and produced countless musical series at the The World Financial Center in collaboration with the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Camp Broadway, the Library of Congress, WNYC, and WFC Arts & Events, featuring premier artists from Broadway, Opera, Jazz, and Rock & Roll. Guest stars Rita Moreno, Judy Kaye, Tovah Feldshuh, Rob Fisher, Marin Mazzie, Christine Ebersole, Bill Charlap, Bucky Pizzarelli, Andrea McArdle, and Ann Hampton Callaway appeared in Ivy’s acclaimed events, “Women On Broadway,” “Women in Cabaret,” “The Tony Awards-50 Years of Broadway’s Best Musicals,” “A Centennial Salute to George & Ira Gershwin,” “Happy Birthday New York!,” “Songs from Shubert Stages,” “Spring Fling,” and “Great Songwriters of Hollywood.”
Ivy Austin’s success as featured vocalist and voice-over artist on “A Prairie Home Companion” lead to creating and producing radio specials for National Public Radio, “Christmas at Rainbow Corner,” (Co-Producer) and “Her Funny Valentine,” (Producer).
Current theatrical projects are Sweetie (Associate Producer) directed by Patricia Birch, and Miss Valentine–Theatre for the Heart(Producer).
